Week 13 Annotated Bibliography

Week 13 Annotated Bibliography

Q You task for this assignment is to provide an annotated bibliography for your research paper. An annotated bibliography is like a regular bibliography, except that it also includes a written description of what the source is, why it is important for your paper, and where (specifically) in the paper you plan to use it. The annotations are typically indented, so that they look like this for each entry: Smid, Robert W. 2021. Why My Students are so Awesome. Milton, MA: Best Students Publishers. This is a peer-reviewed source from one of the biggest publishers of statistics on the level of awesomeness of students in different classes. I will be using it to provide precise statistics about exactly how awesome my students are relative to the average student population, and will be including this information in the second section of the paper (the first section will establish that I have awesome students; the second section supports this by demonstrating just how awesome my students are). You will need to attach the most recent version of your thesis as well as your outline to the annotate bibliography. This will help me figure out how everything ties together (and, hopefully, will serve the same purpose for you). This assignment is worth 15% of your final paper grade, so you will want to do it well. Here are a couple of tips to help you do well: 1. Your list of sources should be changing as you continue your research. This being the case, about 75% of you should have changed your bibliography since you last submitted it, either in response to my feedback or in response to your own ongoing research. If your bibliography has not changed since then, there is a good chance that your process hasn't progressed as it should and it will negatively affect your annotated bibliography. Your annotated bibliography can only be as good as your sources are for your paper, so if you haven't gotten good enough sources by now, you should be actively troubleshooting to determine whether you should alter your topic of just seek research help. 2. Not all of your annotations will be the same length. Sources that serve only a limited purpose won't require much explanation. The real heavy hitting sources will require a fair bit more. Expect five annotated sources to take up about one page. 3. Use your annotated bibliography to determine whether you still have holes in your research that need attention. You should be able to match up your bibliography with each of the points on your outline (typically multiple resources will speak to each of the points). If you have sections that have no resources associated with them, there is a good chance that you have moved from research to opinion. Opinion is generally unwarranted for a research paper unless it is grounded in analysis of data, so be careful here. 4. Remember that this is the last step before you begin writing. By the time you're done with this assignment, there shouldn't be much left to figure out about your paper. Everything should be lined up for the writing process itself. If you still don't know how the paper is going to come together (i.e., what all of your points are going to be and how they are going to be supported), that's a good indication that you are very much behind the curve at this point. If that is the case for you, I recommend moving this project much higher on your priority list and committing a healthy does of your time and attention to get it back on track before it's too late.

In this paper I will argue that both Hinduism and Buddhism believe in reincarnation. They believe in different paths . I will present three pieces of evidence to support my claim. Although both Hinduism and Buddhism originated in India, and share many of the same beliefs. They are very different. I will discuss how they both support the idea of reincarnation. First, they both rely on different ideologies. Hinduism believes that their souls move from one body to the next. Buddhists believe in the idea of “rebirth”. Secondly, Hinduism believes that reincarnation is based on how you live your life and it keeps taking place until moksha is reached.
